After the
2006 season the Arizona Diamondbacks went through a transformation changing their roster and their color scheme.
Gone were the purple, teal, and copper replaced with a new color scheme of Sedona Red, Sonoran Sand, and Black. The question remained, would this be the thing that would help the Diamondbacks change their recent fortunes?
On April 2, 2007 the Diamondbacks would visit the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field in Denver CO for a second straight year.
For the second season in a row right-handed pitcher Brandon Webb would take the mound for the Arizona Diamondbacks.
The Opening Day line-up featured four different players from the previous season.
Stephen Drew was the new shortstop. Chris Young would be the new center fielder moving Eric Byrnes to right field. Scott Hairston would make his first Opening Day start in left field taking over for long-time Diamondback Luis Gonzalez. The starting catcher was Chris Snyder.
For the fourth time in franchise history the Diamondbacks won their season opener with a come from behind victory. The final score Diamondbacks 8 - Rockies 6 in front of 48,169.
